  • Y5 and Y6 Belvoir Cricket and Countryside Day

    Tue 29 Sep 2020
Pupils in Upper Key Stage Two were able to make the most of the gorgeous setting at Belvoir Castle when they took part in a Cricket and Countryside Day in the early Autumn sunshine on Monday. During the day, which was organised by the Belvoir Cricket and Countryside Trust, children had the opportunity to practise their cricket skills in the morning with a selection of different fun skills based activities. In the afternoon the countryside took to the fore and children took part in 4 different events: an army assault course, a talk by a gamekeeper from the Belvoir Estate, orienteering and a hands on practical display by some birds of prey. A truly fabulous day in which the children were as credit to the school in terms of their behaviour and respect to each other. Hopefully, there will be many more trips to follow later in the year!
  • Budding Writers Published

    Thu 17 Sep 2020
Here are some of our fabulous Year 5 and 6 writers who have their work published in the Young Writers 'Out of this World' book. The children were tasked with creating a poem on a theme of their choice and these lucky six children were chosen to have their work published. Well done, it just goes to show what excellent creative writing talent we have at  the school!
  • New Dictionaries for Year 5 and 6!

    Wed 16 Sep 2020
Lucky pupils in Year 5 and 6 were gifted their own brand new Usbourne dictionaries today to help develop their English skills this year. The dictionaries, which were kindly donated by the Vale of Belvoir Rotary Club, were given to every pupil in Upper Key Stage Two during our weekly bubble assembly. A very kind and generous donation from the Rotary Club that have proved a great benefit in the past and will continue to help all pupils strive towards excellence in their work this year.
