Welcome to Foundation!
We are Donaldson Class and we love to explore and investigate!
Would you like to come on our journey with us?
Reading Records
The reading records are to help children develop a habit of reading. The children will bring home a levelled book from school that is in-line with our phonics scheme. At the beginning of foundation children may bring home a lilac book without words until they are able to sound out and blend sounds together. The levelled books from school are useful to track progress of children's reading fluency and comprehension. We are aiming for each child to read at home with an adult at least four times each week - please record this in the reading diary.
Physical Education
Foundation have PE on Friday afternoons with Mrs Rains. Children can wear their PE kit to school on this day.
Forest School
On Thursdays children can wear Forest School clothes to school. (Beginning after October half term)
Best wishes,
Miss Wrench, Mrs Edge and Mrs Rains
