Welcome to Year 1
This term in Year 1 children will have three teachers teaching them. Mrs Morgan will teach Monday and Tuesday, Mrs Crosby on Wednesday and Mrs Raine on Thursday and Friday. The children will also be supported by Mrs Rains and Miss Pickering throughout the week. We are all very excited for a wonderful Summer Term with your children. If you do have any queries or concerns please do email the school office or catch us on the school playground.

Reading Records
The reading records are to help children develop a habit of reading. The children will bring home a levelled book from school that is in-line with our phonics scheme and also a ‘reading for pleasure’ book that is appropriate for their reading level. The levelled books from school are useful to track progress of children’s reading fluency and comprehension. We are aiming for each child to read at home with an adult at least four times each week – please record this in the reading diary.
Physical Education
For the Summer term, Year One will have PE on a Tuesday and a Thursday afternoon. Please ensure your children are sent to school in their PE kit on these days. Please also ensure all PE kit is named.
