Welcome to Year 2
Reading Records
The reading records are to help children develop a habit of reading. It is not just for the levelled books from school, any books that your child enjoys reading can be recorded in the reading record. The levelled books from school are useful to track progress of children's reading fluency and comprehension, but I would prefer them to read books they are interested in and enjoy reading. We are aiming for each child to read at home with an adult at least four times each week - please record this in the reading diary.
Physical Education
Year 2 have PE on Wednesday mornings. Children can wear their PE kit to school on this day.
Forest School
On Mondays, children can wear Forest School clothes to school. We go to Forest School in the afternoon.
