We always enjoy celebrating Children's Mental Health Week. This year we enjoyed a day of yoga and mindfulness for the second year running.
Our Christmas Concert for the residents of Orston
Rushcliffe Schools EYFS/KS1 Nativity Singalong hosted by Orston. We love being the Singing Hub School for Rushcliffe and had a brilliant time hosting this event for other Rushcliffe schools.
It's not every day that a gold medal winning Paralympic athlete joins you to give an inspiring assembly! Thank you Richard Whitehead for talking to us about trying our best, being resilient, about disability awareness and gold winning moments!
Our Silver stories event for grandparents was a huge success and we loved having so many people join us for the afternoon.
We are so proud of Evie who won a competition to design a card for The Queen. We were lucky enough to have a visit from Robert Jenerick who presented Evie with her certificate. Her winning design will be sent to The Queen herself.
We absolutely loved World Oceans Day! We learnt about our beautiful oceans and how we can help to protect them. It was wonderful to hear children talking about what they had learnt last year and then being so excited to build on that knowledge.
Our Jubilee Party was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our street party, our royally themed arts week and a musical celebration on the front playground.
Dress as a Decade Day was a huge success to celebrate the amazing reign of the Queen.
A very special service celebrating Ethel Gordon Fenwick that we were proud to be part of. Our Pupil Parliament children did us proud reading during the service.
We had a wonderful time during British Science Week! We had a whole school Science Workshop Day, we had visiting parents who work in the world of science and we also loved learning about famous scientists.
We absolutely loved Reading Rocks week. We read with our buddy’s, did author workshops, dressed up for World Book Day and so much more!
Children's Mental Health Week 22
Royal Academy of Arts Young Artists' Summer Show
Snack & Sing have been pretty awesome in the build up to Christmas. They have sang at Belvoir Castle, sang for some of the local residents and were also filmed for the Inspired concert at The Royal Concert Hall.
We loved raising money for Children in Need 2021
Key Stage 2 absolutely loved our visit from Notts Outdoors so we could use their climbing wall. Well done to all of our houses for reaching your house point target!
Together we are the Awesome in Orston! We all toasted marshmallows because all the houses met their target.
Our Easter Bake Off and Environmentally Friendly Craft Competition!
