Welcome to Year 1 2022/2023
We are Windsor Class and we cannot wait to share our learning 👑
Welcome to Year 1
The reading records are to help children develop a habit of reading. The children will bring home a levelled book from school that is in-line with our phonics scheme and also a ‘reading for pleasure’ book that is appropriate for their reading level. The levelled books from school are useful to track progress of children's reading fluency and comprehension. We are aiming for each child to read at home with an adult at least four times each week - please record this in the reading diary.
Year 1 have PE on Friday afternoons. Children can wear their PE kit to school on this day.
On Wednesdays children can wear Forest School clothes to school. We go to Forest School in the afternoon.
I look forward to meeting all of the Year 1 parents over the coming weeks. Please come and speak to me if you have any questions.
