Welcome to Year 2
Reading Records
The reading records are to help children develop a habit of reading. It is not just for the levelled books from school, any books that your child enjoys reading can be recorded in the reading record. The levelled books from school are useful to track progress of children's reading fluency and comprehension, but I would prefer them to read books they are interested in and enjoy reading.
Physical Education
Year 2 have PE on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Children will change before and after PE.
Forest School
On Fridays children can arrive at school in their Forest School clothes. We go to Forest School in the afternoon.
I look forward to meeting all of the year 2 parents over the coming weeks. Please come and speak to me if you have any questions.
Kind regards,
David Smith
