Pupils in Upper Key Stage Two were able to make the most of the gorgeous setting at Belvoir Castle when they took part in a Cricket and Countryside Day in the early Autumn sunshine on Monday. During the day, which was organised by the Belvoir Cricket and Countryside Trust, children had the opportunity to practise their cricket skills in the morning with a selection of different fun skills based activities. In the afternoon the countryside took to the fore and children took part in 4 different events: an army assault course, a talk by a gamekeeper from the Belvoir Estate, orienteering and a hands on practical display by some birds of prey. A truly fabulous day in which the children were as credit to the school in terms of their behaviour and respect to each other. Hopefully, there will be many more trips to follow later in the year!
